Also,
I do not know the name for it, but when you look through
the zoom on tank gun into a building, the ambient light
now illuminates the area inside - closer you get it gets
dark... You can actually see people in the building with
the sun facing the building.
There
has been some whinning to why PS users get it earlier then
others, but that is marketing for you. Besides, Sony is
a great supporter of gaming overall and looks like they
earned that spot.

Overall,
BF3 plays very well and
is a lot of fun. There are some game play issues to tweak
and bugs to fix, and DICE says that they are working on
remedies. We will have to wait and see what changes are
completed and released on the first patch.
Battlelog
has updated and it works better, again, most of the time.
Currently running at about 75-80%. It was very stable today,
only got disconnected twice. I wonder if that counts against
your "Leave" Percentage?
The
lack of a manual sort of reduces the working knowledge of
the tanks buffs. I am still trying to figure out how the
3rd placement in the tank really works. I think its a marker,
a if someone has a missle this directs the missle to it.
The
helo's are fun to fly around in. Gotta keep them low and
get some unlocks as soon as you can. Flares and heat seaking
missiles are a couple of the first unlocks.

function, you can try but it will not launch. The 25th.

BF3
Beta. What part of Beta is hard to understand?
The
Battlefield
3 Beta is an older version of the current construct
of the game. It is a skeleton of the game. It is suppose
to act like a teaser. There is no PB running and no update
have been applied to it for weeks. People really need to
take a step back, especially since all the stats will be
reset after Beta.
One
thing I am disappointed in, is that ORIGIN now assigns your
account name to BF3. I do not care for this and have filed
a complaint. EA has stated that you can only qualify to
have the name changed if your first and last name are there.
My full last name is and first initial of my first name.
That is pretty close. So I have created a new account to
see if they transfer BF3.
BF3
plays on my GeForce GT220. I will need to upgrade if I want
to continue to play on the 25th. I went to the Nvidia
site a few times over the last couple months to make sure
I had the current up-to-date driver and it always said I
did. However, they where not.

It is a beta version of a 64 byte windows 7/Vista driver.
When you get to custom install, they recommended to click
the clean install option.
Overall,
the BF3 Beta was a good view of what to expect in the full
game. It will be interesting to see how many people play
RUSH and how fast you can rank up in the full game. In RUSH
you can rank up pretty fast, not sure how that will work
in a Plane vs Tank vs Soldier. In past games, they always
try to balance it in some way.

News from EA on BF3,
"We
are pleased to reveal that the OPEN Multiplayer Beta for
Battlefield 3 will begin September 29th for all platforms
(X360, PS3, PC).
The
CLOSED beta will begin two days earlier, on September 27th,
and continue throughout the duration of the open beta. Please
see the below link for information on who has access to
the closed beta.
The
open beta will end on October 10th. "

This
post I am happy to report on EA's Need for Speed World.
The
free to play, on-line racing game. It is a revenue generator,
similar to EA Tiger Woods On-Line Golf. You can improve
your standings by purchasing Boost points and then buying
multipliers or cars and after market parts.
You
can trick out your ride
by using the in-game store/garage interface.
If
you are looking for something to pass the time while you
wait for BF3, this one will help.
There
are two versions, meaning, one for high definition type
of graphics and lower range one for those that don't have
the advance graphics options. It also runs on portable device,
and we also play it on the laptop.
