ll of the Skills sets in Guild Wars are dependent on one similar variable. Attribute Points. Each set of Attribute Points will power your characters own set of skills. Since the recent update of Sept 7-9, 2005, Attributes can now be switched without penalty. The old system of refund points has been done away with. Players can now play with as many variations on their characters as they wish. Most official updates can be found at the main homepage for Guild Wars which can be linked here.

There are two (2) sets of quests that you can do to get these points.

The First Quest is in the Crystal Desert:
Quest:The Forgotton Ones
NPC: Annelle Fipps
Location: Destiny's Gorge

Which leads you to a Serpeant called Sariss Yassith in Skyward Reach, which is East - South East outside of Augury Rock.

This area full on your freindly neighbourhood Hydras. Interuption skills here can pay off great, most of the Hydras skills cause alot of Fire damge.

Sariss will then give you the quest, Forgotten Wisdom. You can see a location for the end of this Quest here. Just go under the fallen torso of the statue and go around the mountain couter-clockwise, and run over the top and then you cross the fallen statue to the other side, where the quest is completed.

The second set of Quests are in the Shiverpeaks:
Quest: The Hero's Journey
NPC: Vanyi
Location: Droknar Forge

The 1st Part of the quest, you will travel back to the desert. There you will need to visit Destiny's Gorge, Hero's Audience and Seekers Passage.

Now if you had already found these areas while you where in the Desert and completed some of the change profession quests she will display both quests. You have to complete a couple of the Change profession quests that NPC's in Seekers and Hero's will give you if you havn't already.

Quest: The Hero's Challenge
NPC: Vanyi
Location: Droknar Forge

Once the change profession quests are done, Vanyi will display this quest. The Hero's Challenge is best reached from Copperhammer. You will meet up with Vanyi sister and she will lead you into an ambush. You must kill all around and follow her and then.... well, don't want to ruin it all, so you have to figure the rest out. Vanyi tells you why when you return to her.

Signet of Capture

AVAILABLE FROM:

One of the Outposts, known as Lions Arch, you will get a quest from an NPC called Magi Malaquire. That quest will teach you how to use the Capture Signet. It is used to capture Elite and non-Elite Skills from Boss Characters. Boss Characters are those that have a glowing AURA.

To see what is meant by glowing aura, click here. You can view some of the Bosses there. You may already be familiar with them from the lower levels.

Once this Signet is used, it is replace on your skill bar with the skill you decided to capture. If you have more than 2 Elites while out Skill cap'ing, one of them will disappear as soon as you go through a portal or enter a town/outpost. You can only poses one on your skill bar, unless you are capturing skills.

The Boss creatures in GuildWars have special aura linking them to their profession. A Monk is blue, Elementalist is red, Warrior is yellow, Mesmer is magenta, Ranger is light green, and the Necromancer is dark green. All of them are easily identifiable, save the Necromancer and Ranger.

You can identify them to by the names they go by or you can go by the items they use. If you start getting hit with a real big hammer, you can bet that the boss isn't a Monk, well the other party would hope its not. The skills are the last self explanatory option in telling you what you are facing.

Capturing the skills has become alot easier since the game date release. In the past you had to wait for the Boss to use the skill, now you just kill them and then use the cap.
